Play time with Theo

Hi, The training with my puppy has been going well he is now almost 4 months old. I'm very proud of how far he has come. The only thing we seem to be having problems with is what I can only see as his dominance.

He jumps up onto the sofa and the dinning chairs, sits watching us eat and tries to join us for some grub, lol. He is still growling and yapping at us and biting our legs.
I have been telling him no, and if he jumps on the furniture without my say so I put him down and ignore him.
When we play tug with him, he makes a growling noise, is this ok or is it another sign on dominance?

Am I doing the right thing?
