Bitch coming into season

When do people agree is the first day of a bitches season?

I know my bitch is coming in, but she is not swollen and doesn't have a discharge.

So just wondering about dates....

I always did the tissue test and the first day was the first time I saw colour. It is not important to know exactly except if you have intact males or have entered a competition where she would be bard.

She has a competition on the 10th of Jan....never going to happen now
Such a shame as she has been working SO well....heigh ho - thats life.

I also have an intact male....and although I keep them seperate hes not a good indicator as he really couldn;t care less!.....However I would never risk it!

Well if she does show colour today you may just make the competition but it will be very tight, is it agility?

I don't think its going to happen but she is young and has a lot of time ahead to show how fantastic she is

You are right silly to risk an upset when she has plenty of time to show off, still disappointing if you have been working hard.
