Do you do this too...?

Read the Pets For Sale adverts in the local paper or pet-shop windows and also online - even if you aren't actually thinking of buying one? Or is it just me lol?

Sid does it too!!

I used to read them but I don't anymore as I would probably just get angry and upset about some of the mixed breeds advertised under designer names.

I feel it is better to stay away as I feel these ads play on the general public and make them feel sorry for the poor pups and they end up buying out of sympathy and this only encourages byb's and breeders who breed with no health tests to go on and breed more and more litters,

So now I stay away so I don't get angry and upset.

There are enough dogs in rescue without buying from the unscrupulous people who mostly place these adds .

I'm afraid I do ..... even the cats which is the last pet I would have anyway (no offence)
I read the lost ones too Stormey, I'm sure one day I will find a poor lost little pooch and I will be able to save him from a terrible fate

Yep, I'm always looking at horses although I know I'm not ready for another one just yet - need to save up a bit for the initial outlay, vetting and equipment!

I guess, technically, that's how we ended up with Roux - although we weren't actively looking for another dog, I couldn't help looking through the rescue's "homeless" listings and fell in love with him!
