I use Logic and Poppy has the Logic dental chews after her tea. She also has plenty of rope type chew toys and Nylabone type toys, some of them have ribbed sections and grooves.

when my staffy maddy aged 12 had to have 17 teeth removed a few months ago... the vet said to clean her teeth using a finger brush.... so we bought 1 and doggy toothpaste and she was rather good with it.... till her gums got infected again...i will always clean any new puppys teeth from now on

I use chicken wings. My dogs have a raw chicken wing every morning plus chews and NO sweeties and they`ve got lovely teeth.

Two of my dogs are from the same breeder always have eaten the same food and never had their teeth cleaned .
My 15 year old has all her teeth and has never even had to have a dental .
My 13 year old also has all her own teeth but has had to have dentals every year or so .
The conclusion is I think a lot of dental problems are outwith our control .
I'm not saying people shouldn't brush their dogs teeth but there are other factors .

Cox's teeth were a bit manky, especially the ones right at the back. But 6 weeks of raw bones and meat, Plaqueoff, and rawhide chews and they are looking a lot better, but not yet pearly white. Once I finish the small tub of Plaqueoff I have (it lasts ages) I won't be giving him any more of that. Given the fairly dramatic improvement so far, I am hoping that they will be white soon . . .
