Pot roast recipe needed. Slow cooker or conventional.

I bought a nice piece of beef yesterday described as a pot roast. i have a large slow cooker which ideally I would like to use, but it can go in the oven if not.

I thought I had a recipe but I can't track it down.

I am hoping all you clever Dogsey cooks could help me out with a simple recipe? I have never cooked pot roast before.

You're welcome.
the only reason I told you how I searched was I wasn't sure if the link would be allowed!
You'll have to post if it was successful or not! Especially as I haven't tackled a pot roast in my new slow cooker

Just to say, slow cooker every time, it keeps the flavours in better and doesn't dry out, and the longer the better of course! Slam it in at 7.30 and by 6 pm. it'll be like butter! There is a big difference with these slow cookers between 3 hours and over 5. They say it MUST be a minimum of 3 hours, but when you do it for 6 it's sooooo much nicer! Mmmmmm can smell it from here!!! Enjoy!
