Not good behaviour in church, but couldn't resist it!

We have been to the Christening of our Great Nephew today ( gawd doesn't that make me sound old )
There was a man sat in the pew in front of us and hubby suddenly nudged me and said thats that man. Apparently hubby meets him out on his walks with Mo and he never speaks, pulls his dog away from Mo, won't let it play etc etc. you know the type us dog walkers hate.
Well when the hymns started he was the type who sang full volumn in an operatic type voice . The louder he sang the louder hubby and I sang, until he was trying to peek over his shoulder to see who the opposition was
Most unruly I know but I was in fits by the end of the service. I am really old enough to know better.

hehehe! that is so funny... i'm not religious, but at every service i've been dragged along to, there's been on of those people who obviously love the sound of their bellowing operatic voice.. i wish i was as brave as you and your hubby.. i bet that was hilarious.. made me laugh just thinking about it!

Well if you can't have a laugh in church where can you? In our church the priest once told a very loud man to pipe down! He never came back!

It was a very nice Vicar yesterday.
Apparently the hymn Jerusalem has been banned in some C of E churches, as it has become too commercialised. Half way through the service the Vicar turned to the organist and said "how do you fancy playing Jerusalem" which he did and we all sang along!
So an alternative christening I think you could say

I am afraid I always get the giggles at the most inopportune moments when I am in church - just can't help it.
If I am feeling really norty - I do the - get up first when the hymn music starts - game.

That is so funny. When he looked over his shoulder you should have handed him a business card and asked if he wanted to organise a dog walk. LOL
