Noise in car sounds terrible/scary help

Hiya people can anyone help got a courtsey car as mine is in being repaired (accident not my fault) but the courtsey car is a Kia Piccaso really really small. But the thing is only got it yesterday drove home. Today had to drive it and a terrible terrible scary noise when turning left.....no idea what it is a really loud "horrible noise" like something grating I suppose is the best description.

I am going to phone them tomorrow but anyone any idea what it is please.....

The sound you're describing Karen would indicate the CV (constant velocity) joint is on its way out.When worn-they often make a loud and mad clicking/grinding sound.

Its quite bad.

Get them to replace it hon. The trouble with courtesy cars is they are often in high demand, so maintenance on them can be a little cavalier

Thanks they are exchanging it tomorrow. Not sure what I will get though.
