have you just tried ignoring the password box?
sometimes they can show up by default without actually being activated - something the shop or dell might have done?

otherwise, contact one of them

give them a ring normally they don't put a password in or go for the erd commannder

http://www.ozzu.com/ftopic19791.html this is a free down load i think then you can put your own in when the laptop is stating press F12 or F11 and boot from the CD which you got from dell

Unfortunatly I have little to go on with this as someone else tried to get me connected from the start and failed so Im trying to do it myself.
As for a disc I may of had one but its not here now.
I get as far as Dial up Connection and in the connect to box is MSHOME laura. When I try to connect it tries to dial but comes up with unable to establish a connection?

Is it your internet password you are after ?? to connect you ?

do have a password on your main computer ? its usually a part of your e-mail address with your provider and then the password you originally thought up -f you can't remember them ask your provider -they usually have a security question too -colour of granny's socks or something daft

ETA ..if its dial up have you got your modem connected ?

I would get rid of any connections that are already there and then use the wizard to create one from scratch -the first time you do it you have to have the laptop connected to the modem router by an ethernet cable

is the laptop wireless ? or do you need a card ?

This NetGear Router/Access Point has the default password
set for the web administration console.
('admin'/'password')
