Dog treat recipe.

Ollie loves the liver cake I made him so also made a sardine one today with 2 tins of sardines in sunflower oil.
Found this recipe and thought I would share.

1lb turkey mince.
1/2 to 3/4 cups of breadcrumbs.
2 tbl grated parmesan cheese.
1 tsp garlic powder or minced garlic.(optional).

Mix together and shape into cigar shapes.
Bake on a lightly greased baking sheet 350 degrees for 15-20 mins.
slice when cool.

Makes loads and then you can freeze some.

Wow Lynn, looks great - Leo some of these look fab.

This is my first posting on Dogsey. I have a Beagle and just lost an English Masstiff to Cancer. I make my boys treats all the time and some of these look really good. Can you send me the recipes.

Garlic is a natural flea repellent and is fine give amount according to dogs size,in treats it makes a lot so however much is suggested will be safe Ollie has a clove of garlic every night in his food as do all the dogs where he comes from and have done for quite a few years.

Most dog owners give their pets food that could
potensionally harm/ kill them like human choclate, Onions on that left over pisa list goes on.

The amount of Garlic that would have to be comsumed would be alot what is put into the treats wouldn't have any undue effect on them. I just had a quick look through and out of the 130 recipes 54 contain Garlic of one sort or another.
