Burns and bad breath...

Wondered if anyone else has had this problem and found what the cause was...my mates young dog is being fed on Burns, first the puppy mini bites and now the adult food...he's nearly six months old and she's been advised by Burns to put him onto the adult food as they think the puppy food is the cause of his bad breath. He's hardly got any teeth so it's not a bad tooth causing it...it smells like it's coming from his stomach and it's awful...dustbin breath. It's a small mixed breed dog but it's big for it's age...it also appears a bit on the lean side, you can feel it's spine and ribs although it's very playful and not at all unwell..it eats very well and although it was on 50 grams per day of Burns puppy, Burns have told her to reduce the adult food to 40 grams per day....it's been on the adult food for nearly a week but the bad breath is still very much there...any ideas what might be causing it and what to advise her...I fed my dog on Burns but never had this problem so don't know what to suggest. thanks

Both my two are on Burns, and we haven't had that problem here - so know help really, but I hope it improves.
Are there other treats given ? this may be the cause ???

Never had any problems with smelly breath on Burns with my two.

How big is the dog? 40g seems a really small amount to feed daily.

I think he weighs about 2.50g.....or around that sort of weight...40 grams is what Burns recommended...I thought they go by weight of the dog.....
how much should he be eating per day?

My 6 month old puppy's on the mini bites. Her breath isn't that stinky. If it's really awful, perhaps it's some digestive disorder, might be worth a vet check, especially with these missing teeth...
