How good is this?!!!!

Just been on the phone to order the kitchen worktops. I asked for 2 lengths of the 60cm wide worktop, and the lady on the other end of the phone recommended that we go for the 62cm wide ones (standard recommendation), but sticking to my guns (and budget) I said we'd go with the original plan.

Then the manager came on the phone and explained that, while 60cm was ok for laminates, with contraction of the natural wood, you're much safer to give it an extra couple of cms so it doesn't shrink back over your units. My heart was sinking, and I had the choice to blitz our budget by over £100, risk the shrinkage, or get the thinner worktop Had just decided to do the thing properly and blow the budget, when she said "We've put you down for the wider worktop, but we'll give it to you for the price of the narrower one."
