Qustion On Crufts/Kennel Club?

On crufts the other night it was said that the kennel club was going to recognise the labradoodle isthis right?

Also stated that it was a good thing to cross these dogs?

i rang the kc today about the labradoodles,and was told that they were as suprised as us at that statement.there has been no application put in to the kc to recognise them as a breed,

The Kennel Club will not recognise a new breed until such time as the enthusiasts have formed a club, agreed an interim breed standard and the breed is reliably conforming to that standard, generation after generation. This can take decades.

As far as I can make out, there is wide variety of types and most are simple F1 'hybrid' i.e. a Labrador crossed with a Standard Poodle. That's not a breed, it's a cross breed.
