Worst New Years Eve Ever

I wasn't too well yesterday but had no plans to go out. Then my so-called friends rang to see if I wanted to go out for a meal - at 6pm! It was already nearly 5. I said I wasn't feeling well (it was a lot worse by then) so they should go on their own. Then Margaret got nasty and started yelling at me to get ready and drive over to their's for 6, at which point I burst into tears. She carried on harranging me and I hung up, then collapsed. I came round after about 15 minutes and went to bed, but didn't sleep. The dogs got me up later and I staggered to the door to let them out. It was 9pm before I could even make a cup of tea.
I spent the evening shivering under a blanket in front of the TV and finally went to sleep at 1am having seen in the New Year on my own. I had a faint hope that my friends might at least have called, but they were obviously having a good time and didn't bother.
I am feeling better this morning and it's Deccy's first birthday so he is getting extra fuss.

Oh honey, how cr*p for you. So sorry you had such a nasty end to 2005. Hope 2006 is much much better for you {{{hugs}}} and that you feel a little brighter today

Friends can be more like enemies at times and very selfish. Hope you're feeling much better today and have a great day with your pooch and celebrate his birthday
