First aid course at MyPetStop

Has anyone done first aid training for dogs?

I was at our local MyPetStop last night waiting for my M-I-L who was at her puppy training class and noticed their poster for a first aid training course.

We have a first aid kit we carry around in the car when we go on holiday but think it would be useful to know how to bandage/how to do cpr and basic first aid.

Going to book myself on it tonight for Thursday 26 April.

I went to one which was run by Lorraine Duffy who is based in Warrington (Lorraine VN on Dogsey) I found it very useful and prices reasonable. She covered all the basics and it was an enjoyable day. I would recommend everyone attends at least one such course.

I haven't - my local trainer holds them so I'm considering it. I did find this diagram on canine CPR yesterday actually which is useful (I am first aid certified for the human variety so know the basics of CPR) - http://www.cdkc.ca/assets/cpr.jpg
I didn't previously know where to check for a pulse, or how to do the Heimlich manouver (though not sure how I'd manage it with a 40kg do!) so that was useful to know.
