Dog's whiskers

Hi all

I have a dobermann puppy who I show, should I be shaving her whiskers off?
Thanks

I know nothing about showing but it does seem a bit cruel to shave off the whiskers?

Having done a bit of reading up, its quite common with breeds that are clipped liked Poodles, I am assured it doesn't hurt them, just wanted to check to see if dobies should be. Might just take her to the groomers and ask them.

Yup I know it is common
and in answer to your question I do believe they tend to be clipped in your breed

but just cos others do it dosent mean its the right thing to do imo

and dogs DO use them

Can you not ask her breeder?

I wouldn't shave them personally - but then I have setters not sure if its different?
