Must just share

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...ntral-11836885

This is the conference I have put together for work. I would have been there today but I had a hospital appointment.

So exciting to see it on the front page of BBC news ;o)

Sounds wonderful and very worthwhile. So similar to that TV programme on Sky that showed how inmates got to work with rescue dogs and helped rehabilitate them (forgot the name of the darn programme for now, it was in the US though I think! )

BTW, hope you are okay Emily, sorry to hear you have to go to hospital xx

Oh they do that in America - they even have parolees working at a ranch where there are pit bulls that have been abandoned or fought and it's their job to rehabilitate them.

I wondered when UK was going to jump on the bandwagon.

Anne-Marie...

There are:
- Cell dogs
- Pitbulls and parolees
And even a horse one

Thanks A-M it's been months of preparation but I'm so proud to have been a part of it!

(Oh and thanks for asking, I'm sure I'll be fine xx)

That's right. We're doing it on the back of Joan Dalton who has successfully set up Project Pooch. I really hope it takes off in this country.

Me too. I can see such huge benefits, both in terms of the rehabilitation of the ex-offenders (nurturing, confidence, purpose etc) but also to animal welfare (teaching respect to animals).

Thanks all, glad you agree it's such a good initiative.

No need to thank me though, I played a very small part in it all, but am still very proud!
