Hello to all from a newbie

Hi, I'm Brenda and totally new to Dogsey!

I'm the proud owner of two Papillons, Louis who is 8 and Finn who is 16 months old ... although they are small dogs (Edna Birch on Emmerdale has one) they certainly aren't 'lapdogs' .... far from it, they are very intelligent, vibrant dogs who love to go on long walks, they're also very sweet natured dogs and very affectionate.

In the past I've always had beautiful King Charles Cavaliers (lost my last one aged 13 and a half three years ago) but this time decided to go for something a little different.

Looking forward to reading all the posts of interest to me ... also if anyone has Papillons, I'd be very eager to chat.

Hello, and greetings from the northern isles (Border Collie country). I had two, until they both died in October. I have a one-year-old BC pup now, by the name of Thorgeir (a.k.a. The Chickendog).

Thorgeir's full name is Thorgeir Ljosavetningagoda, and he is named after the Speaker of the Icelandic Parliament (or Althing) on whose casting vote Iceland accepted Christianity. He is, as you can see, a blue merle, and he was born on an Orkney poultry farm, one of a litter of nine. There weren't any sheep, so he couldn't be a sheepdog: there were only chickens (thousands of them!), hence "Chickendog".
