The question - please define pasterns well let down.

Pasterns well let down I assume would refer to the rear pasterns, which is the bit from the hock (the bone at the back and bottom of the dogs hind leg) to the ankle.

Well let down would mean they were short, you would often hear 'hocks well let down' which would indicate the hocks are closer to the ground rather than the pasterns being long and therefore, the hocks further up.

Been out of showing for a good while so someone correct me if i'm wrong.
