Wot we`re getting for Xmas is a German Shepherd.

I was going to keep quiet till the lad arrived but I`ve got a big mouth and am very excited. So...
this chap is going to come to live with me

Isn`t he cute? His story is here. http://www.dogsey.com/showthread.php?t=112526
He`ll have to live in his new kennel in my little garden till he bonds with us enough to get braver and come indoors. But all in his own time.
And his Aunty Fluffybland is going to come and visit because she`s been his friend and walker and he has come to trust her. And Gill from Crofters has been sitting talking to him today and telling him all about his new life.
I want to change his name though. Someone said Raz was like Rasputin and that`s stuck in my head so now I don`t like it.
Any suggestions?

aww, I'm so pleased for you both.

As for his name, there's no hurry. My rescues have often been with me days before we decide on a name that feels right.

So when does he actually come?

A neighbour is going to come and repair my fencing over the weekend, then a friend is picking up a run from Fluffybland and my boys will have to put that up. Gill`s going to get his vaccs done and his kennel should be arriving soon. Hopefully the end of next week or soon after.
I went out and bought toys, chews and a fleece blanket for him today. It`s very exciting. I just hope Shamus learns to adapt - he`s still a bit nervous around other dogs. But we`ll cross that bridge when we come to it. The other two will be fine with him.
