Boarding kennel prices

I'm looking for boarding kennels that will house my two gsd sized dogs together and have found one that sounds suitable so we're going to arrange to visit. Combined price for 2 dogs together just over £25 per day. Does that sound about right?

We were £18 a day plus VAT for two collies sharing an extra large kennel/run.
It does seem to vary depending on the area. We booked one dog for one night in Kent a couple of years ago and they charged £22.

Its a fair bit more than we would charge but different parts do vary. Our price would include food, insurance, beds, blankets and VAT. Insurance upto 3 days of leaving and upto £1250.

Do they have a website?

The website states their insurance covers fees up to £100 and for 72hrs after returning home. Bed, VAT etc included.
Borderdawn just out of interest what do your kennels charge for two large dogs together?

£17.25 per day.

£100 is basic insurance. Wouldnt cover much but a lot of kennels will only pay for the least amount of insurance.

Bit more than both yours and Dale's mums then.
Don't mind paying for a good service & peace of mind. Bit concerning about the insurance point.

The one I use charges £18.95 a day foe each dog regardless of sharing a kennel, it goes up to £22 fro high season

For that you get food/exersice /bedding , they are walked once a day in the private field, (on leads) and they have a huge playpen area , where they are put in while the beds are being made.

They aslo have insurance and I think it covers costs if they need to take your dog to the vet... I know someoen who`s dog required to see the vet, and there was no charge, as it was covered by the kennels insurance

They should all have insurance JB. There also should be no charge for dogs or cats seeing the vet if the problem occured whislt the pet was boarding with them. Pre existing conditions would not be covered on kennel insurance and some kennels may charge to take the pet to a Vet if its required due to an existing problem.

We have claimed and saved our clients huge sums before now, one case was a Golden Retriever with a splenic tumour which burst while we had her. The bill was around £1100, and not a penny was paid by the owner!
