Marius Has Diarrhoea Too

He's been quite bad with it poor lad.

I thought at first he'd just eaten something he shouldn't have (as he is such a scrounge-hound on walks! ). I 'starved' him for 24 hrs then gave him a light easy-digested meal, but he was still quite chronic with it Has had it 4 days now.

Took him to the vets this morning and she said his tummy felt 'watery'. Bless him he was so good, stood stock still for her to take his temperature and even when she did an internal exam His temperature was normal but she wasn't happy about how his tummy felt, so gave him some meds.

He is on Oxytet tablets and something called Pro-kolin to help with 'good bacteria'. I do hope it works!

Vet said there were quite a few cases of this in our area

The vet was new, liked her though - she even said to him what a happy boy he was and isn't life exciting for a young rottie!:smt002 (this is because he kept trying to give her a paw and slurp her face when she bent down!_

poor boy, hope he's feeling better soon. Big hugs to you both.
The pro-kolin is good, it worked a treat with Mya when she had colitis.
We also put her on a very bland diet for 2 days of tinned chappie chicken and rice and this settled things down nicely too

Hope he feels better soon...Sam had this recently and it's a shame to see them in such discomfort. However the antibiotic soon cleared it up.
