Pedigree Dentastix.....

Any good for teeth? Or just another treat advertised to be more than it is??

Just wondering if they would be any good for my dog-to-be, which will be being weened onto RAW but will be on complete biscuit when they arrive??

Help please!

Thank you!

A commercial rip off.

Bear in mind that it contains carbohydrates (the very thing that causes tooth decay when it coats the teeth), sweeteners (ditto) and salt, I would avoid them like the plague.

I think they are a rip-off too. As I can't feed my dogs raw food diet (it upset their tummies something chronic) I brush their teeth every other day. They also have dental sticks but I just buy whatever is the cheapest or on offer as they eat them so quickly I can't possibly see how they can be doing any good!

Yes i give my dog 1 everyday and i asked my vet if they actually did any good and she told me they did.
I was told by another vet a yr or so ago that my dog had very white teeth for her age so i'll carry on giving them.

The shade of enamel on your teeth has nothing to do with whether or not the they are a) clean or b) healthy!

We all have different shades of tooth enamel.

Thanks everyone! I noticed they were 3 for 2 in Tescos today so it crossed my mind.

I don't like any Pedigree products as from what I have seen, they all contain 'animal derivatives' and this can cover a multitude of sins!

I dont think they are worth it
carbs, sugar, and abrasives
They might work a little - but they last 20s with my dogs and a bone lasts much longer

I don't bother giving mine any anymore because they don't chew them properly and just swallow them! So it's a waste of time.
