Pip, male Patterdale, DOB 06.10 – Gatwick, West Sussex
Pip, Patterdale, DOB 06.10 – Gatwick, West Sussex
Homing Requirements: Pip needs a supportive terrier family as Pip is very aware & feels vulnerable seeing dogs outside. We suspect he hasn't been walked to overcome this. Pip doesn't need dog aggression laid on his shoulders - he warns dogs off as he is frightened. Low dog density would enable him to learn to relax on an extender lead. Proven with children. Pip will be better as an only pet.

His Story: Pip was found stray and homed in with a family with children aged 10 & 12 years old. Excellent in the home but the family couldn't support him outside so didn't walk him for 1 year until they abandoned him in boarding kennels for the original rescue to pick up the bill. Pip is neutered, chipped and vax'd. Pip is currently in boarding kennels near Gatwick, West Sussex.
Advert: Pip is a terrier to his paw tips. Pip has the looks but as you see in his eyes he has the intensity of the terrier; the seriousness and he hadn't had the chance to pick up socialization skills with other dogs before he came to us. We are now getting him out and about and offering him positive experiences where he begins to feel safe around other dogs. Pip can live with older children providing exit management is strict, as is garden security and the whole family understand Pip's needs.
Pip is a 3 year old Patterdale who hasn't until now found himself in terrier understanding hands. Described as a "Beautiful, fragile little man with such handsome silver/blue wiry fur" by one of our volunteers. From now on Pip needs people who offer him support. Pip's family must be there for him.
Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire as a first step so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
