Druridge Bay, Northumberland

Found this beach today and it was absolutely gorgeous!!! Spotlessly clean, not too busyand brilliant for the dogs. Its not far north of Newcastle and South of Amble, it was about a 2 and a half hour drive from home but well worth it with beautiful white sand, a great place to visit if you're up this way. Although I believe that most of Northumbrias beaches are like this

Lovely Pictures

I've been there a few time Het,it is a lovely beach and your right most of the beaches north from there are great, and a lot of the time on some of them you don't get many people on them even when the weather is hot like now

It was really beautiful, just a shame its such an awful drive over for us. We had intended to go up to Alnwick and the beaches round there but we got stuck in a jam on the A1 for 2 hours, luckily we had a picnic

We used to picnic at this beach in the summer when I was little. It's beautiful and the sand dunes are great. Lots of memories here. x

wow that looks gorgeous! I cant believe no one goes on the beaches? As soon as the sun is out here people are all over the beaches and our local ones are all stoney! Although i guess we are at least free from getting sand in your pants and shoes lol

Glad you enjoyed it, we do have some lovely beaches up here, they are so big that its easy to lose people. I hope you dont mind but this I thought you would like too, this is Bamburgh beach close to Druridge, we went for my birthday in May and we were the only ones on it all day.

We did a bit of yoga as well.

A playground for the dogs.

If you come back up again let us know and dogwebber Toby & I will meet up with you.
