The best browser on earth: Opera!

As many of you know I am a very heavey user of the internet, so it's only fair I let you know which web browser I think it best and why

Opera!
  • It's one of the most secure, if not the most secure browser out there!
  • It's got some features that makes browsing a breeze - such as mouse gestures and flexible tabs!
  • It's FREE!
  • And much more!!

Here's what it looks like:

And here's how to set it up like that:
  • Download the skin 'metal blue' then;
  • Main bar at the top (to house, back, forward, URL input box etc)
  • Tab bar next, but at the bottom
  • Personal bar at the very bottom (for you to put shortcuts to frequently visited sites and/or folders of bookmarks)

I recommend you turn on mouse gestures - this is when you can hold the right mouse button down and then move the mouse to the left to go back to your previous page, or move the mouse to the right, to go to the next page.

It's amazing and I couldn't live without it now!

Glad you mentioned that as I forgot to mention it; Firefox is pretty basic as standard, you only get it 'half decent' by installing plug-ins... however you are constantly reminded that you should only install plug-ins from 'trusted users'... how the hell do you know if they are trusted or not!!!

Sorry but I don't want to risk compromising the security of my whole machine for features and options that come as standard with Opera.

Another reason why Opera is the most secure browser

I have used opera and must admit its good, but im stuck in my ways, it took me ages to start using firefox.
I have a few add-ons for firefox and if you go for the ones with a high average rating from alot of users you cant go far wrong.

I use IE and since the security scare, I'm loathe to on-line bank - sadly, I have to do it on Friday.....

Downloading anything new never works out as simply as it should for me - something always goes wrong.

I may pluck up the courage to give it a go, though.....

I'm quaking in my slippers just thinking about it

I just d/loaded opera to give it a try, and at first I was impressed, but the more I use it the more it's annoying me. When I start the browser, it brings up the last page I visited instead of the page I have designated as my homepage. I can't search google from the search bar (although if I change it to Ask it'll work).

I tried Google Chrome a while back and to be frank, it's pants. When typing characters don't appear on the screem as I typed them, when I was pressing the Backspace button loads of '''''''''''''''''' would come up.
