I,m trying to find out whats the top 5 or 10 breeds are in the UK?

These are the 2005 figures according to the KC i dont think 2006s have been released yet?! So the Staffs could be higher.

I am shocked that there's no yorkshire terriers there because i see loads of them

I don't know about the U.K as a national statistic but the SBT certainly over take any breed in my area.....they are everywhere, closely followed by Labs.

Its the same here SBT all over the show. Mostly with Lads wanting a d*ck on a string.

You also have to remember that these are only figures of dogs registered with the KC. Regrettably many many more are bred that aren't registered or are registered with a company that will take your money and print you a pretty certificate!

Erm yeah I get that impression too
I am however a lady, and I do sometimes get strange looks when I'm walking down the road with Georgie, and erm my CKCS! Most people do ask me if they both belong to me, as a lot of people think they are not 2 breeds someone would keep together....mine get on just perfect.
When I am out with just Georgie, yes- I do attract a lot of young men asking me about him, and of course telling me he's a big stocky boy

Liking that! Wouldn't it be the ultimate irony if their chosen status symbol thought "Mmmmm, Sausage!" one day?
