Smoking

I seem to be smoking more since just recently...

I have never been a huge smoker, more a social smoker.

My parents have never known I smoked, so I thought, cool, I will quit for good. But turns out half the people I see in the pub smoke, so it was easy to light up when I was out

Plus the office I am working in now has a lot of smokers, and they all nip out the door for a fag and I seem to join them... The building is like a business park, and there are people who smoke in the next offices, and the whole place stinks..

Tut tut - I know I should stop really.

How many people here smoke?

Nope, never smoked, nor my parents, my OH or his parents, so we are a smoke free zone

I sort of go from cutting down and suddenly smoking heavily again
i am determined to quit though because i hate it and can't afford it

I want to give up and have done so on several occasions, but I weaken when I feel down. Patches work, but as soon as I come off I am tempted again

Noone in my family smokes.

I only started when I went to uni, I think I was about 20!

I don't like it, I hate the smell, I am silly really...

I'm the same, can go for ages without one then I'm back to 15-20 a day. Very expensive too.

i started when i was 14 and i'm now 33 so a long time
i know an old guy round here who used to chain smoke about 100 a day and he gave up with no help; so there is hope for us all

i've never smoked. My mum smokes, although she keeps giving up

Never smoked and never will, nor OH. Mum and Dad both 40 a day though...unfortunately they are no longer with us to tell the tale or see our beautiful little Megan
