Candie, have you looked into the possibility that your lads growth, and maturity might be affected by such early castration. I have recently been reading about this, and I can understand how it happens.
The testicles are reponsible for producing testoterone, the male hormone. Testosterone is responsible for male characteristics, the one's that distingiuish the 'look' of a dog from the 'look' of a bitch. If the testicles are removed before a male puppy finishes developing, he may never look like a male, he may be 'stuck' at the gawky, leggy, out of proportion stage, that they all go through otherwise. Aparently the long bones grow to a slightly longer length and are lighter(thinner) than breed average. The dog may be forever adolescent in body and mind.
If you want to PM me I will direct you to where I found this information.
