Happy half gotcha day Malcolm!

6 months ago today I trekked down to Somerset for the fourth and final time. Malcolm did his usual and refused to come out of the field not realising he wasn't going back in to his kennel, instead he was going home with his new family.

It's been a bumpy road so far but he has come such a long way. He still has his moments but he now spends 90% of his time asleep rather than 90% of time awake pinging off walls. He comes back when called and will give up his toy willingly without need to trade. He stills bares the mental scars of his past but he is such a different dog to the one I took on. He now knows how to relax. I just hope he realises this is it, this is his home for life and I hope he approves.

Personally I'm hoping for the next 6 months to be full of peace and quiet but I suspect with these two around I won't be getting much of it!

Well done you, Malcolm is a lucky boy to have found you. It sounds as though he had a tough time before, so keep up the obvious great work you have done with him. I love a successful rehoming story, it gives me that warm glow inside.

I too can't believe 6 months has passed. Malcolm really is gorgeous and how lovely that he has settled so well in his forever home . Well done.
