Best clippers?

Does anyone know a good brand of inexpensive clippers? Mine seem to have packed up, which will serve me right for letting Deacon go wooly over winter!! They need to clip English Setters hair, plus a chi I have begun doing.
Osters are a bit out of my price range, sadly
Thanks in advance!!

I've found the cheaper one's are a bit false ecomony as the motors burn out to quick. Oster AGCs are not a bad price my last pair were under £100 and I sold them 3 years later for £50 when I bought my Moser's.

The best horse clippers I found was always the Listers, so I don't know if they do dog ones? I've got a fairly cheap pair of dog clippers which are fine for tidying up old Georgie in the summer, they've never packed up on me yet, but I hate the fact that there's a wire attached, so my only advice would be go for the battery option if you can. Mine are Wahl's, don't know if that's a good or a bad thing though!

Define 'inexpensive'...

I paid £105 for my twin speed Andis - and love 'em! Won't be going back to the osters now.

I should have said Andis not Oster lol.
My moser Switchblade were £135 but he threw in a spare couple of blades .
They have a variable speed and a really long lead.

I use Oster A5 two speeds. Cant remember the exact price as I got a deal at crufts 2008.
I cant fault them, apart from the weight of them - I do find they get heavy after a while.

I won't buy another cheap pair I know that!! Mine I believe were about £50 from ebay...
I heard that wahl and osters were good, I don't mind paying out if they last and do a good job.... I only really clip my boys and a friends l/h chi. With Honey, I just thin with scissors...

Thanks for the advise so far

I use Moser Switchblades, you can get them for around £120 if you shop around.

Incidentally - what were your old clippers? I've got a Switchblade that's stopped working, and the repairman said to send them to Wahl with a cheque for £20 and they'll send me a reconditioned one back.
