I decided to join this site because I don't know what to do with my chocolate lab Journey. He is a fence jumper. I invested in an expensive kennel for him and my other dog is half chow / boxer mix Sedona. Sedona stays in backyard but I put her in the kennel for the Journey's sake. Journey weighs approximately 60 lbs and has enough energy for 4 dogs. I take Journey for walks. My problem he is intent on trying to jump over the fence, and many times he is successful within seconds. Journey is so stubborn. I try to be a responsible dog owner and protect him from harm. Journey has become more and more stubborn and it's become a power struggle to put him in the kennel in the morning before I go to work. I feel like a policeman instead of a dog owner. I would greatly appreciate anyone ideas, suggestions, and recommendations. My fence is a 6' fence and Journey can easily jump over the fence.
