Man gets ten year ban for fighting dogs crime

A man from North Wales has been given a suspended jail sentence after he admitted a string of animal cruelty charges following a major operation to tackle wildlife crime.

Charles Ross Clark admitted keeping dogs in connection with fighting wild animals and was banned from keeping dogs for 10 years.

The 19-year-old appeared at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to five charges.

Clark, of Gorad Road, Valley, near Holyhead, admitted causing unnecessary suffering to two dogs and two charges of possession of a dead badger.

Operation Morpheus was launched after the RSPCA received intelligence which suggested Clark, along with other people, was involved in hunting wild mammals with dogs. Warrants were carried out by North Wales Police at six addresses in August last year.

I am glad his two dogs were taken away from him and I hope they have been found caring new homes. The scarring on that poor Whippet's face...

GRRRRRRR I'm thinking of Vick again...ideally I would say ANY individual in any country who fights dogs in any capacity...no more dogs ever. A lifetime ban on that individual from ever possessing a dog again for any reason. If they're found with one, the dog gets removed. If they're charged with fighting or cruelty again they get put away for say five or ten years minimum. If Vick hadn't been in the spotlight he would still be in jail instead of playing ball.
