Its been a year..

Well its been a year since we had Finn allergy tested. alternaria and storage mites had the biggest reaction.

Over the last year we have made a few changes to Finn's diet and environment. We no longer use a spot on flea treatment. I am convinced this caused made his allergy worse last year due to irritated skin around his neck and armpits.

He gets his legs hosed down after each walk in the Autumn when alternaria fungus is at its peak.

He also gets Evening Primrose Oil and Starflower Oil added to his food every day.

He is fed Canidae and is only allowed wheat/corn free pre packed treats. Food is now stored in airtight containers to prevent the mites. It gets transferred out of the original bag as soon as its opened.

And because of these changes he has been steriod free for almost a year now. We do get the odd itchy day but we have his antihistamine syrup for those days.

So fingers crossed its under control now.

Very well done to you Carole! I wish I could cure my itchy dog as well as you've cured Finn. All that dedication to it has paid off. Well done.
